1. How do I modify my listing?
If you’ve already listed your company in the Directory, the "My Listing" link at the top of the page will allow you to change the details of your listing, edit your product and service categories or change your password. You’ll need the administrative e-mail address and password you used during registration.
2. What if I forget my password?
If you’ve forgotten your password, please send an email to BellDirectory@segmint.com. Your company's username and password will be emailed to the address you have on profile.
If you’ve never set up an administrative e-mail address for your company, please provide us with your contact e-mail address using the "Request a password" to BellDirectory@segmint.com, and we’ll set up a temporary password for your company. We strongly recommend that you change your temporary password once you receive it.
3. How can I remove a free listing for my company?
Please send us an email at BellDirectory@segmint.com with your company name and contact information.
4. How can I change my company name, contact e-mail address or phone number?
Go to the "My Listing" page and log in to edit your company coordinates.
5. What should I use as the Contact Name/Dept?
Please enter the name of a person or department to which you want requests for information referred.
6. How will my "Contact E-mail Address" be used?
This is the e-mail address where Business Directory users will send requests for information and quotes. Please make sure the owner of this e-mail address is aware of this and that he or she will quickly refer requests to the appropriate person in your company.
7. How will my "Administrative E-mail Address & Password" be used?
The administrative e-mail address will serve as your login each time you wish to update your company listing. You’ll need this e-mail address as well as your password for listing maintenance. It is recommended that you write these items down and keep them in a safe place.

From our list of 65,000 existing categories, select an unlimited number of product and service categories corresponding to your business portfolio - each of them means more opportunities to be found.
9. How do I change the product/service categories for my listing?
You can edit your company profile at any time. Simply click on the "My Listing" tab at the top of any Business Directory page. There’s a button at the bottom of the page to edit your selection.
What’s the “Keyword Search?”
This search allows you to assign products or services to your profile by searching for a keyword that describes what your company provides. Example: If you do a keyword search for "pens," the directory will display a list of all Product and Service Types that contain the letter sequence "pens." You may specify from this list the exact product or service type that you wish to assign to your profile.
What’s the "Category Index Search"?
This search allows you to assign products or services to your profile by first selecting a broad category, then "drilling down" through a hierarchical menu that contains more specific terms that will accurately describe what your company provides. Example: "Office Products" is a broad term that brings up many options including "Shipping Supplies." >From there you can select another more specific type like "Strapping Tape."

10. My company is listed in the Directory but I can’t find it – what can I do?
Make sure your company name is spelled correctly – a typing error during registration may result in an incorrect listing. For each case, log in to modify your company listing, and edit the incorrect information.
If you search by city, make sure your postal code is correct – if not, you will not appear if a user searches for suppliers in your community. You will only be found in a search by province or by country. To edit your postal code, go to the My Listing tab.
11. Can I search in other languages?
To be able to search the B2B directory in Arabic, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Thai or Vietnamese, please visit www.wand.com .
12. What’s a "free listing?"
If your company sells goods and/or services , you can get a free listing in the Business Directory. The free listing allows you to publish your company information in the Bell Business Directory under an unlimited number of product and service categories.You will also have the option of listing your company on an international network of Business Directories.
13. How do I get listed?
List your company by clicking on the "Get a free listing" link in bottom left corner of the Business Directory. Set up your company listing by providing contact information and the full list of your company's pr1cts and/or services. To improve the visibility of your company listing and add more content to it for only $10/month, click on the “Advertise With Us” link on the Directory homepage..
14. In how many categories can I list my company?
There is no limit to the number of categories you can choose.
15. What do I get with a free listing?
Free listings are displayed in alphabetical order after the "paid" or "premium" listings. Your e-mail and Web site addresses will not be displayed to users. Of course your visibility will be less than that of the advertisers, but you can still receive requests for quotes from the users of the site. You also benefit from an international presence by being listed in the WAND international network of directories. You’ll also be taking advantage of all the promotion activities that drive traffic to the Business Directory. Learn how to get a premium listing to increase your visibility.
16. How do I list my company in the WAND International network of B2B Directories? And how will this listing benefit my business?
When listing your company in the Business Directory you can simultaneously choose to list your company in the WAND network of business to business directories. This will give you visibility within all the WAND directories published in different countries, in 16 languages. 17. What kind of visibility will I get with a Premium Listing?
Premium listings appear at the beginning of the search results. Your e-mail address will remain confidential to protect your privacy, however, you’ll still be able to receive messages and requests for quotes and information from users. You can choose to display your Web site address by upgrading your listing.. You also benefit from an international presence by being listed in the WAND international network of directories. You’re also taking advantage of all the promotional activities that drive traffic to the Bell Business Directory, including our ongoing effort to better our search engine positioning.
18. What type of information can I display in my listing?
You can provide information about your company, including a 250 word company description, a list of all the products and services you offer, your contact information including your Web site address, a map to your location and your company logo. You can add up to four contact names. You also have the option to add the following: company type, number of years in business, number of employees, interest in exporting and annual sales.. As an advertiser you also have the option to link up to two PDF documents (sales collateral, product pages, etc.) to your upgraded listing.
19. How much does it cost for a Premium listing?
The cost is only $10/month.
20. How are the companies listed in the Premium listings area?
Premium listings are displayed in descending order
based on the value of the selected package. Listings with a
similar packages are listed by company name in alphabetical order.

21. Is there any service charge for modifying mylisting?
No. This service is free to advertisers. You can do it yourself after logging in by visiting the My Listing tab on the directory home page.
22. What format should I use for my logo and what are the size limitations for the attached PDF documents?
The logo should be an electronic file and the following formats are accepted: .GIF or .JPG files with no animation. Size should not exceed 500 X 200 pixels or 100K of memory space. PDF documents attached to the upgraded listing are limited to 512K each.
23. Can I provide you with a print copy of my company logo?
Unfortunately, We accept only electronic copies.
24. In how many categories can I list my company?
There is no limit to the number of categories you can select to promote your company.
25. How can I get my company listed as a Premium listing?
Click on the "Advertise with us" tab at the top of the directory homepage, then click on the “Upgrade My Listing” button on the bottom of the page. Then, just follow the directions.
26. Can I cancel my advertising package?
You can cancel your premium listing at any time. Click on the “My Listing” tab at the top of the Bell Business Directory homepage and login using your administrative email and password. On your admin page, click on the "Cancel my premium listing" button. Then follow the instructions.
27. What’s the difference between the Yellow Pages Directory and the Bell Business Directory?
The Bell Business Directory is a business to business directory (B2B and consumers) while the Yellow Pages Directory targets the consumer market. The Business Directory offers a Request for Quotes service that allows users to contact several vendors with a unique request. In addition, you can advertise in the Business Directory for a lower cost and in an unlimited number of categories and regions. Your visibility is not just local. By listing your company in the Business Directory, you benefit from a local, provincial, national and an international presence – at no additional cost.

29. The location map of my company is incorrect – what can I do?
Please make sure your address information is correctly entered. Do not enter information other than the address in the address fields. For example, the "P.O. Box" should be written in the appropriate field. If, after you’ve modified your address, the map is still not correct, please email us at BellDirectory@segmint.com.
Using the Request for Quotes service
30. What’s the “Request for Quotes” service?
You don't have enough hours in your day to lose time trying to contact multiple vendors and find a product or get a reasonable quote. Save time! With one e-mail message you can reach up to 20 suppliers that offer the product you’re looking for, in Canada or internationally.
31. What does it cost to use the Request for Quotes service?
Nothing! It's free for buyers and vendors! Just register your company in the Business Directory, list all your products and services, and receive Requests for Quotes by e-mail.
32. My request might be sent internationally. In what language will my request be released to suppliers?
We’ll send your request in the language that you selected when you filled out the request form. However, if you speak additional languages you might want to mention it to the supplier in your message to facilitate contact.
33. Do I need e-mail to use the Request for Quotes service?
Yes. You need an e-mail account to use the service as a buyer or a seller. An e-mail account will allow you to be notified in real time when buyers send you a Request for Quotes.
Interested suppliers are immediately notified of the opportunity to contact you and can submit a proposal to your request. Response times will vary, but, in general, you can expect to begin receiving quotes within a few days.
35. Am I guaranteed to receive quote responses?
No. There is no guarantee that any vendor will respond to your request. However, the more detailed and specific the information you can provide in your request, the more likely it is that a vendor will respond.
36. How do I recognize a Request for Quotes sent from a Business Directory user?
Requests for Quotes will be sent to you from the e-mail address directory@bbd.ca and the subject of the message will be “A Request for Quotes for you /Une demande de soumissions pour vous”
37. I’ve received a Request for Quote. How do I respond?
If you’d like to submit a quote in response to a request, just call, fax or send e-mail to the person making the request. The Bell Business Directory is sending you the e-mail as a sales lead it’s your choice as to whether or not you choose to take this opportunity.
38. Why are some of the companies I’ve found in my search for products not listed on the Supplier Selection page?
Only companies that provide us with an e-mail address in their profile can receive your Request for Quotes using the Business Directory e-mail tool. However, you’re welcome to contact other companies in the directory by phone to make your request.
